Just look at the trends. Facebook announced that its advertising revenue increased 60% in the first three quarters in 2016 compared to last year. The social media giant took in $18.4 billion in that time.
Thus, businesses and nonprofits are making use of Facebook’s ever-developing ad platform. And Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pushing video, no doubt seeing the potential of this great medium. In speaking of his company’s third-quarter results, he said, “We’re making progress putting video first across our apps and executing our 10-year technology roadmap.”
And mobile advertising revenue represented approximately 84% of advertising revenue for the third quarter of 2016, up from approximately 78% of ad revenue during the same period of 2015. That means that your websites, emails and advertising had better be mobile-friendly.
Since Christmas and New Year’s will soon be behind us, we will once again see the return of people’s interest to non-Christmas advertising. The plastic Santa Clauses in stores are coming down. Now is the time to put your ad strategy into action.
